Whose scale do we use to measure with???
There are certain words and how people use them that really annoys the dickens out of me. Three of them come to my mind today.
PERFECT AVERAGE NORMAL
What I'd like to know is, whose scale are we using to gauge who is or isn't Perfect, Average or Normal. Surely there must be some universal scale that is used, right? I mean lets think about this...
If there is no universal scale, then that means that some people that are perfect are actually only average or normal, and those that are average are in truth perfect, as well as the normal ones that could be perfect or just plain old average.
I mean for instance I know of people that immerse themselves in religious rules and regulations, for them that life is perfect. Then you have the opposite types that immerse themselves in partying and (as they may call it) living for the day, for them a day of loud music, dancing and drinking is normal. So you tell me which of these two groups would be the average. Be careful now...
If you really go deep in your thinking with this you may be left with the following conclusion...
There is either some Scale out there, hidden from most of us, that is used to gauge these categories and it is up to us to find this majikal scale, so that we may all be perfect.
OR
EVERYONE is PERFECT, AVERAGE & NORMAL
This post is coming from my aggravation with people and their narrow points of view. It was inspired by an entry made by Emani about "being tolerant" (another stupid measuring word) Go check out her post made on Sept. 1st.

What is this fascination people have with measuring other peoples self worth anyway? Do they really want all people to be just like themselves? Noooooooooo, because then they couldn't feel like they are superior in someway or another. What they do want in my opinion is to be the creator of all that in their minds is perfect.
I can see them now, cookie cutter in hand, making their own cookie people...
They just know these will be perfect, because they even took the time to measure the thickness of the dough to ensure that each little man is just the same. With a smile on their face they carefully use their perfect cookie cutter to cut out their perfect cookie men. Their eyes twinkle as they proceed, and if you look deep enough you will see a tiny glimmer of madness within those eyes. Having successfully cut out the first batch of perfect cookie men & placing them on the baking tray, they take a step back admiring their work. "Ahhhh, my Perfect lil cookie men, with no flaws. What a wonderful world I will create with you." Admiration & satisfaction is seen in their smile as they place the tray of perfect cookie men into the oven, which has been set at the correct setting to ensure each cookie man will cook evenly to golden brown.
Their excitement is evident in their stride as the timer buzzes and they go to remove their treasures from the oven. Opening the oven they carefully remove the tray of perfect cookie men and gently place the tray on the stove top. Suddenly the expression on their face changes. How can this be? They followed all the directions to a tee, to ensure that each little cookie man would be perfect and flawless and yet...
...upon closer examination they find that every single one of the cookie men is slightly different. Some are a bit browner, some a bit fatter, a few seemed to have shrunk a bit and the one at the far right top seems to be only half baked.
What they seemed to have forgotten is that every cookie man, though in appearance started out the same, in reality all had a miniscule difference in one way or another. That difference for some was an extra grain or two of sugar, a couple more had bit more or less baking powder, some were placed to close to the edge of the tray & the one at the top right had actually been placed in a part of the oven where the temperature was cooler.
Sadly the creator of these cookie men missed the most important fact of every cookie, simply because once they saw the difference in the men she gave up on them all and gave the entire batch to their neighbors child, who happily ate every last one with a huge smile on their face. The important fact that the creator of these cookie men missed was that...
Although each one was different, EVERY ONE of them was delicious!!!!
The moral of this story is...
Ok my readers, your turn now. How would you word the moral to my story?

. I see where you are coming from with this, because most of my friends would think my life is quite boring, but I am content with it, and I have quite a lot of promise for the future, as I have just found out recently. I am continuing my education into college, and university. Great for me! My friends cannot understand why, and they have gone and found jobs, and are happy to do that. It's not for me, at the moment, working, but good luck to them!
We all look at other from our own different perspectives. In that way I agree with Granpa Chuck. Maybe you could also say: NOBODY IS PERFECT, AVERAGE OR NORMAL ;)
