...and so on, and so on...

Repetition can be great in it's proper place. It can also be QUITE annoying, much like the bunny commercial it was cute for the first few ads, but after awhile I wanted to KILL THAT BUNNY!!! [giggle] Be honest many of you feel the same way.

There are currently two types of repetition that have me irked!

Type 1 ~ "Repetitious Talkers":

You know the type, they repeat everything they say at least twice. I am not sure if this is due to a slow thinking process on their part or what. I mean maybe the words get bottlenecked someplace, and by the time they finally come out of the person's mouth they have already repeated the same thought again, not realizing they just said that. Surely they can't be repeating things because they think that you didn't understand them the first time. If you didn't understand the first time you sure are not going to the second and thirds times, if it is exact repetition anyway. For many I am convinced that it is more due to trying to control the conversation, what they forget though is that if they are the only one talking over and over and over it's not a conversation, it's a lecture. (OK men, I am sure you all have a few words to say about that statement [giggle]) 

None of the above really shoot a hole in the bottom of my rubber boat though. The ones that REALLY IRRITATE me are the drunk repeaters. How on earth can people talk for over 5 hours and just keep saying the same things over and over. It's even worse when there are two of them going at it. The thing that really tops it all off is, what they are repeating, for five full hours, makes absolutely no sense!!!! Meet those same two people sober and they are the greatest people to talk to. Before anyone goes whacko on me I am not saying that all people that drink or get drunk are this way. Some however need to drink faster and pass out very fast before I start a "SAVE MY EARS" campaign.

Type 2 ~ "Repetitious Life Mistakes":

I have repeated so many mistakes in life that I hate to even get too far into this one. Each time I swear to myself that it wont happen again. HA!!! Maybe I need to become a repetitious "thinker" and repeat what wont happen again to myself at least every hour each day. That way when the same type scenario rears its cocky little head, just daring me to not repeat my past, perchance I will remember , "Hey I have been here before and need to do this and NOT do that".

Creatures of habit... I have heard that plenty of times. I don't like it one bit either, "I wanna be freed!!!" Sometimes I have referred to the Repetition in life as the "Vortex". A whirling or circular motion that tends to form a cavity or vacuum in the center of the circle and to draw toward this cavity or vacuum bodies subject to its action. Its inevitable when caught in a vortex you will simply go around and round and round and round.... Oh geeezzz, seee I am a repetitive talker. I will never learn.

So how does one break out of this??

How do we condition ourselves to recognize it BEFORE we are smack dab back in the middle of it AGAIN?

Is Ranae' actually a mindless drone, doomed to repetition forever?

And does Murphy have a brother with a repetition law?
